Another Radio Shack Robbed, This One in Royal Oak

The Royal Oak Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of the Radio Shack at 29160 Woodward Avenue on June 4 at about 6:30pm. The Radio Shack in Madison Heights was robbed on June 2.
According to a Lt. David Clemens of Royal Oak, a clerk called 911. “He stated three black males entered the store wearing baseball caps, hoodies, and nylons over their faces. The suspects moved two employees and a customer to a storage room, placed duct tape over their eyes, and taped their hands behind their backs. At least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun.The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of currency from the cash register and approximately 50 cell phones before they fled the store in an unknown direction.”
Clemens said none of the victims were injured in the incident. Troy Police responded to the scene to assist with their K-9. The track led to the area of Benjamin and Woodward where it is believed they entered a vehicle and left the area.

The Radio Shack located at 200 West Twelve Mile in Madison Heights was robbed on June 2, 2014 at approximately noon. Three black males wearing black hoodies, faces covered with nylon masks, armed with pistols entered the location and directed the clerk, a 29 year old Warren resident into the back room. The clerk was ordered to fill two duffle bags and a backpack with I phones. The victim was then ordered to open and empty the cash drawer from the register.
The suspects then locked the victim in a back room and left on foot carrying the two duffle bags and a backpack. A witness observed the suspects exit the store and walk east on Twelve Mile and then south on John R. The suspects were last seen in the parking lot of an apartment building located on the southwest corner of Katherine and John R, two blocks south of Twelve Mile Road. The suspects are described by Madison Heights Police as follows:
1) B/M dark skinned, 20s, thin build, 5’5”, 110lbs, black hoodie, dark pants, nylon covering face.
2) B/M dark skinned, mid 20s, medium build, 5’10/5’ 11”, 160- 170lbs, black hoodie, dark pants, and nylon covering face.
3) B/M dark skinned, late 20s to early 30s, 6’0”, heavy build, black hoodie, dark pants, nylon covering face.
It is not yet known if the two robberies are connected.
