Beer and Pills Suspected in 25-year-old’s Death

INCIDENT: 16:10 hrs. May 21– Lyon Township- Death Investigation #14-075391
SUMMARY: Deputies responded along with Lyon Township Fire Department to an address in the 28000 block of Dixboro Rd on a report of a deceased person. Complainant indicates the deceased is a male and may have suffered a drug overdose.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: The victim was pronounced deceased by a doctor from Providence Novi Hospital via telemetry. There were no signs of foul play but empty beer bottles and prescription pill bottles were found in the area of the deceased. Information from the mother was the victim was not suicidal and never made any statements about suicide. She did however say that the victim was in a serious car crash when he was 15 and again a couple years later. The crash caused the victim to be in constant pain and he also suffered from migraine headaches. A Detective and an Investigator from the Medical Examiner’s Office responded. The Medical Examiner took custody of the deceased pending the outcome of an autopsy. Investigation continues.
