Clean the Ferndale Up Helps City Sparkle
(Crystal A. Proxmire, May 18, 2014)
Nearly 100 volunteers cleaned up over 8 cubic yards of trash from city parks and public spaces in Ferndale Saturday. Donning yellow tee shirts and plastic gloves, volunteers of all ages showed their community spirit and helped make the city sparkling clean. This was the third annual city-wide clean up, organized by the Ferndale Community Foundation. This year’s effort was led by Councilperson Greg Pawlica, who worked closely with City Event Coordinator Michael Lary, the DPW, sponsors and other volunteers.
