Bloomfield Hills BowlOn for BuildOn Raises $1,5000 for Haiti Trip
(Bloomfield Hills Schools Press Release, May 6, 2014)
After an entire year of hard work and dedication, the BuildOn club successfully coordinated the first annual BowlOn for BuildOn fundraiser. BHHS buildOn was able to raise a grand total of $1,554!
According to club presidents Courtney Zhu and Narmeen Rehman, “the outcome of the fundraiser exceeded our expectations. The club is now looking forward to sending five members to build a school in Haiti in the summer of 2015.”
BHHS buildOn would also like to thank the Bloomfield community for the endless support. Together, we can strike down poverty and illiteracy in developing countries.
BuildOn breaks the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and low expectations in developing countries through service and education. Each high school chapter harnesses the power of strong communities and applies it towards the building of a better world. BuildOn meets once every other week.
