Man with Hammer Attempts Sexual Assault on Hospital Worker in Pontiac

INCIDENT: 09:06 hrs. April 23, 2014 – City of Pontiac / Felonious Assault # 14-059014
SUMMARY: Deputies were dispatched to McLaren Oakland Hospital for an assault complaint. The victim stated she had reported to work this morning at the hospital and was signing in electronically when a unknown male subject came up behind her and forcefully grabbed her between her legs in an attempt sexually assault her. When the victim yelled the suspect ran out the doors and was followed by the victim and hospital security. When they approached the male he pulled out a hammer and came at them in a threatening manner. They then ran inside and called 911.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Deputies located the subject nearby and he was still in possession of the hammer. Deputies took him into custody without incident and placed the hammer into evidence. The subject was lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending issuance of a warrant for CSC and Felonious Assault. Investigation continues.
