Shootings in Pontiac

INCIDENT: 15:42 HRS. – City of Pontiac – Assault w/ Gun – #14-51850
SUMMARY: Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Perkins for reports of shots fired and one subject shot. Deputies were further advised the subject who was shot was put inside a black vehicle and driven away. When deputies arrived, the complainant advised them the subjects to the rear of his house were shooting at each other and one subject was shot while attempting to jump the fence to his backyard.
Deputies responded to the 10 block of O’Riley and located a witness who stated several people were shooting at her son. The witness advised a black vehicle fled the scene and one subject who was shooting ran into a nearby house.
A deputy located the shooting victim at McLaren Hospital. The victim suffered a non- life threatening gunshot wound to his leg. The victim may have shot himself in the leg while climbing over the fence. The victim stated he does not know who or how he got shot.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Deputies went to the suspected shooter’s house and secured him. A handgun was found in his pocket. Detectives arrived on scene to continue the investigation. An Evidence Tech processed the scene. Several shell casings were located at the scene, collected and logged into the property for analysis by the lab. The suspect was transported to the Oakland County jail pending issuance of a warrant.
ARRESTEE INFORMATION: Suspect-22 year old male Pontiac resident, Victim1- 22 year old male, Victim2- 19 year old male, Victim3- 17 year old male. All victims reside in Pontiac.

INCIDENT: 15:50 hrs. – City of Pontiac – CCW Violation – #14-51882
SUMMARY: While deputies were investigating a shooting call on O’Riley (14-51850) a black SUV stopped at the corner of Park Place and O’Riley and four male subjects got out. Deputies were able to stop two of the subjects and identify them. The subjects stated they were there checking on family members. Deputies looked inside the vehicle and in plain view was a handgun in the backseat.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Deputies conducted an inventory search of the vehicle and located a second handgun under the passenger seat. During the arrest and subsequent search of both subjects Deputies discovered and seized a large amount of cash and a small amount of marijuana. Both suspects were lodged at the Oakland County jail pending issuance of warrants.
ARRESTEE INFORMATION: S1- 24 year old male Pontiac resident, S2- 20 year old male Pontiac resident.

INCIDENT: 01:14 Hrs. – City of Pontiac – Armed Robbery/Shooting – #14-52132
SUMMARY: Deputies and MSP troopers responded to the 1200 block of Colony Ln. in the Colonial Square Apartments for the report of a shooting. Contact was made with the victim who had fled his own apartment (scene of incident) and went to a friend’s apartment for help.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: The victim was robbed inside his own apartment of an undetermined amount of cash and shot once in the chest and once in the abdomen. Deputies and troopers located the victim’s apartment cleared and secured the scene. A pound and a half of marijuana was found inside the apartment. The apartment was secured and turned over to the responding Detectives, Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Crime Lab. The victim was transported via EMS to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital for treatment. Victim is in critical condition but is expected to survive after having undergone surgery. The Investigation continues.
