Elderly Woman Struck by Two Vehicles Dies in Rochester Hills

The OCSO Crash Reconstruction Unit is assisting Deputies from the Rochester Hills Substation with the investigation of a fatal pedestrian / vehicle crash that occurred at 8:27 p.m. Saturday on Auburn Road near Longview Avenue.
A 79 year old Rochester Hills resident was killed when she was hit by 2 vehicles while she was in the roadway on Auburn, west of Longview. It is unknown at this time why the she was in the roadway.
The pedestrian was first hit by a 2001 GMC Sonoma pick-up truck driven by a 58 year old Shelby Township resident, which was west on Auburn Road.
After being hit by the pick-up, the pedestrian was struck by a 2001 GMC Denali driven by a 59 year old Troy resident, which was east on Auburn Road.
Rochester Hills Fire responded and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor at Troy Beaumont via telemetry.
Neither driver was injured and appeared to have their seatbelts on.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash which remains under investigation.
