Vendor Applications Accepted for Lake Orion Flower Fair, May 9-10

In its 14th year, downtown Lake Orion’s annual Flower Fair event will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Well, we’ve made significant improvements to the Flower Fair and want you to be part of our success! We’ve increased the event and advertising budget, we are jurying applicants for appropriateness to the event, we re-branded the event in a more professional way and are working on new attractions to increase 
this year’s attendance. We have increased the hours of this year’s event but kept the booth fees the same. All of which will drastically increase the image and attendance of the event from both patrons and participants.
In 2013, we’ve moved the date of the event to the Friday and Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend. These will be the standing dates of the event. The Flower Fair no longer competes with Eastern Market’s Flower Days and it captures those who work and live in Downtown. The date change also allows us to coincide the event with Mother’s Day flower shopping. We’ve also increased the reasons for people to attend by offering activities like a container garden contest and speaker series, just to name a few.

Vendors will be notified their acceptance status within 30 days of applying.
DEADLINE: March 31, 2014. Late application fee is $25.
