Car Left Running at Pontiac Liquor Store, Stolen, then Recovered

INCIDENT: 00:28 hrs. Feb. 19 – City of Pontiac Stolen / Recovered Auto/Auto Theft Detective Assist #14-025024
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to a report of a stolen auto at Big Daddy’s Liquor Store located in the 800 block of Baldwin. Upon arrival the victim stated she left the vehicle running while she went into the store. Surveillance footage showed the victim park and a second vehicle park next to it with several subjects inside. Two subjects exited their vehicle and left in the victim’s vehicle. On-Star was contacted and gave the location of the vehicle. The vehicle was located in the 30 block of Fairmount Ave. and after watching the vehicle a suspect was observed leaving a house and entering the vehicle. Two suspects were taken into custody.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Detectives from the Auto-Theft Unit were contacted and responded to conduct interviews. Two suspects were subsequently lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending a review by the Prosecutor’s Office.
VICTIM, SUSPECT or ARRESTEE INFORMATION: (Victim) – 47 year old female resident of Pontiac. (Arrested #1) – 17 year old male resident of Pontiac. (Arrested #2) – 17 year old male resident of Pontiac.
