Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile
700 block of S. Washington, 2-9-14, 5:00 p.m. – 5:40 p.m.: Complainant parked his vehicle in the alley behind a business. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect stole it. 14-4602
S. Main and Sixth Street, 2-7-14 – 2-8-14, 8:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.: Complainant parked her vehicle in a parking lot near S. Main and Sixth Street. When she returned to pick up her vehicle the next morning she discovered an unknown suspect stole it. 14-4418
Larceny from an Automobile
200 S. Stephenson (Belle Tire), 2-7-14 – 2-8-14, 11:00 p.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Complainant parked his vehicle in the business parking lot overnight. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect stole a mp-3 Street-Eatzz-Adplayer, wallet, backpack, silver necklace, prescription drugs and a camera from the interior. 14-4440
Larceny
3450 W. Thirteen Mile (Walton Woods), 2-12-14, 10:38 p.m.: Complainant reported she left her debit card on a counter for a few minutes while she moved her car. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect stole her card. 14-4955
Malicious Destruction of Property Farnum and Maxwell, 2-10-14, 10:58 a.m.: A Royal Oak officer observed graffiti spray painted on the CN Railway overpass. 14-4664
Webster and Glenview, 2-10-14, 10:43 a.m.: A Royal Oak officer observed graffiti spray painted on the CN Railway overpass. 14-4663

1300 block of S. Campbell, 2-10-14 – 2-11-14, 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect spray painted graffiti on the side of the residence. 14-4758
1700 block of Barrett, 2-10-14 – 2-11-14, 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect spray painted graffiti on the garage door of the residence. 14-4757
1400 block of S. Campbell, 2-11-14, 12:30 a.m. – 6:34 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect spray painted graffiti on the west side of the residence. 14-4756
1700 block of Dallas, 2-10-14 – 2-11-14, 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown BTLWeddingExpo_144x360suspect spray painted graffiti on the side of the residence. 14-4753
Other Incidents
2000 block of W. Fourteen Mile, 2-9-14, 1:39 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of a disorderly and intoxicated subject refusing to leave the residence. As the officers approached the apartment the subject attempted to close the door. They prevented the door from closing, entered the apartment and advised the suspect he was under arrest.
The suspect refused to be placed under arrest and attempted to break free. While struggling with the suspect, a female resident of the apartment pushed one of the officers from behind in an attempt to prevent them from arresting the male. After a brief struggle both subjects were taken into custody. 14-4532
30852 Woodward (Walgreens), 2-7-14, 7:04 p.m.: Officers responded to Walgreens to investigate a subject attempting to fill a fraudulent prescription for 90 tablets of Xanax. The suspect was located in the pharmacy waiting area where he was arrested without incident.

30776 Woodward (Sagamore Motel), 2-11-14, 5:09 p.m.: Officers conducted a motel check and located a subject with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for embezzlement. The subject was arrested without incident. 14-4819
111 W. Twelve Mile (City Motel), 2-11-14, 6:26 a.m.: Officers conducted a motel check and located a subject with outstanding felony warrants for Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property and Larceny from an Automobile. He also had a misdemeanor warrant for Driving While License Suspended. The subject was arrested without incident. 14-4755

Man with a Knife Threatens Family and Neighbors
On Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at 11:09 p.m., officers responded to a domestic violence complaint involving a man with a knife in the 1100 block of Woodlawn. As officers were responding, the suspect fled the location on foot armed with a knife. While fleeing the area he threatened a female and her male friend on the 1200 block of Midland with the knife as well. Responding officers quickly located the armed suspect on Midland, just west of Campbell, walking on the sidewalk. When officers confronted the suspect he dropped the knife and was arrested without incident.
The incident began over an argument between the suspect and his father. During the argument the suspect grabbed a kitchen knife and attempted to stab his father. The father and a female friend retreated to a basement bedroom and barricaded the door. The suspect tried to force his way into the bedroom but was unable to and fled the home on foot.
The suspect encountered a female in the 1200 block of Midland, approximately a block away. The female just left her friends house and got into her vehicle. She observed the suspect run toward her car with the knife in his hand yelling.ctechad She drove away and the suspect chased her vehicle down the street. Her friend heard the commotion, walked out on his porch and confronted the suspect. The suspect approached the man and threatened him with the knife. He was able to retreat back into his home, lock the door and call 911.
The suspect then fled east on Midland, near Campbell, where he was stopped by responding officers. The suspect was still armed with the knife. Officers ordered the suspect to drop the knife. He complied and was arrested for Felonious Assault.

On Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, Ryan James Yarnevich, a Royal Oak resident, was arraigned in the 44th District Court before Magistrate Chisholm. Yarnevich was charged with two (2) counts of Felonious Assault Toms Custom Painting Adand one (1) count of Domestic Violence. His bond was set at $10,000.00. His next hearing date is scheduled for Feb. 14, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.
