Cigarette Burglar Strikes Again, Armed Robbery at 7-11Street-Eatzz-Ad
(Madison Heights Police, Feb. 6, 2014)
On February 5th, 2014 at 0407 hours two B/M suspects entered the 7-11 at 29265 Dequindre. Both suspects were wearing hoodies and one wore a ski mask in addition to the hoodie. They proceeded to the deli area with their backs to the clerk. The clerk asked the suspect to remove his mask but he would not comply.
The clerk assisted the suspects in the deli area and began to walk back to the register behind the counter Toms Custom Painting Adwhen one the suspects tackled him. The suspect put a knee in the clerks back holding him down while the other suspect went through the cabinets gathering cartons of cigarettes and placing them in a bag. Marlboro and Newport’s were the brands targeted.
Approximately 10 cartons and numerous loose packs taken, value of loss estimated at $600.
One of the suspects is the same suspect responsible for the B&E’s at Detroit Donut on 01/29/14 and 02/04/2014. The suspect holding the clerk down advised him to remain down for 90 seconds or he would shoot him. Weapon implied, none seen. Officers responded and found fresh foot prints leading to a vehicle parked behind the business north of the 7-11. The tire tracks show the vehicle left north on Dequindre from behind the business.nicholas-schrock-allstate
