Ferndale to Open Warming Center on Tuesday and WednesdayJudyPalmer01

Ferndale, Michigan– Southeast Michigan temperatures continue to be frigid, and people who have to be out in it have been warned to limit their time outdoors, wear several layers of clothing, and cover up as much as possible to avoid frostbite. The combination of cold temperatures and freezing wind chills might cause temperatures to feel as low as -35 degrees. In these conditions, frostbite can occur in less than 15 HowesLocationminutes. Hypothermia is another risk. The City will open the Kulick Community Center as a Warming Center between 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28th and Wednesday, January 29th.
