Madison Heights Mourns Loss of Teacher, Volunteer Cristy Berger

Cristy Berger, age 38 was born Anjwanette Cristina Barron on February 16, 1975 in Dearborn, Michigan. A lifetime resident of Madison Heights, she died on January 18, 2014 in Southfield, Michigan at St. John Providence Hospital. Beloved wife of Mark. Loving mother of Erika, Allison, and Brett. Dear daughter of Bill and Sue Barron. Cristy was employed by Madison Public School District for over 18 years as an 8th grade English and Social Studies teacher at Wilkinson Middle School. She was also strongly involved with the City of Madison Heights Recreation Department and all sports. Public visitation 2-8p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 and 10a.m. until time of funeral service 10:30a.m. Friday at Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Rd. (S. of 13 Mi. Rd.) Madison Heights. Interment will take place at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak, Michigan.
