The Haifa Symphony Orchestra is touring the United States for the first time ever and will come with Israel’s premier violist, Avshalom Sarid.  Avshalom Sarid is an accomplished violist, musical producer and teacher at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Throughout his life, Avshalom has played in a HowesLocationvariety of orchestras as well as in chamber ensembles as a soloist and lead violist in Israel and around the world.

The illustrious Haifa Symphony Orchestra of Israel is the most significant musical institute in the north of Israel. The Haifa Symphony Orchestra of Israel was founded in 1950 and in recent years has become the focal point of musical life in Israel expanding its activities throughout the country. Celebrated as one of Israel’s finest, the Haifa orchestra has begun sharing its talents across a broader stage.  This popular JudyPalmer01orchestra, has built an impressive and loyal following, and is renowned throughout its homeland for its support of Israeli composers, soloists, and conductors.
Internationally renowned for his musical knowledge, immense enthusiasm, and extraordinarily charismatic stage presence, Maestro Boguslaw Dawidow is a conductor of a great stature, musically speaking, with a clear beat and marvelous rapport with the Orchestra. Under the baton of Boguslaw Dawidow, the orchestra brings a spectacular evening of music that includes the comfortingly familiar melodies of Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 in G minor and the warm sounds of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor From the New World, as well as Israeli composer Uri Bracha’s Melodies for Mount Carmel.
