Barbara Mahan Passes Away

At the age of 84, Ferndale resident Barbara Mahan has passed away. Mahan was incredibly supportive of Ferndale Schools, joining her husband Joe in many activities.  Joe, who passed away last March, was known as “The Voice of the Eagles” because he was a regular announcer at sporting events for 65 years.  Barbara was born and raised in Ferndale and was a graduate of Lincoln High School.
Mahan is survived by children Mark, Peter and Tracey, along with eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Wessels & Wilk Funeral Home at 23690 Woodward on Wednesday, January 15 from 1 to 7 pm followed by a service at 7 pm.
Memorials are suggested to The Alzhiemers Association and the Anmerican Cancer Foundation.
