Pontiac Robbery Victim Follows Assailants, Gets Shot Atessential

INCIDENT:  21:46 hrs. Jan. 4, 2014 – City of Pontiac – Robbery Armed # 14-1419
SUMMARY: Deputies were dispatched to the area of Stegman Lane and Kennett for an armed robbery in progress. Victim stated her son drove over to her apartment in the 30 block of Stegman Lane to drop off her medication. When she went outside to receive her medication from her son, three males approached them. One male pointed a silver revolver at her son and demanded his money.  The second subject grabbed her around the neck and demanded her money too.  The third subject took her pills and then the all fled the scene on foot.  The victim stated her son followed the suspects in his vehicle to the North Hill Farms gallowaycollens1apartment complex at which time the first suspect with the revolver fired two shots at him. The son was not hit or injured.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  A deputy arriving in the area observed a subject matching the description running down Kennett Street. The deputy was able to take the subject into custody.  Property belonging to the victim was found in the subject’s possession.  Suspect was transported to the Pontiac substation to be interviewed by detectives. Oakland Co Sheriff’s K-9 responded to the scene and a track was initiated.  The track began at a school near the victim’s residence and ended in North Hill Farms Apartment complex. Further investigation revealed the identity of the two remaining suspects. The suspects were located together in an apartment in North sidebar01reader_supportHill Farms and taken into custody. A silver .38 cal. revolver containing 2 spent cartridges was recovered from the same apartment. All three suspects were lodged at the Oakland County Jail, pending arraignment.
VICITMS: 42 year old female and a 23 year old male, residents of Pontiac.
