The Rose Bowl and Parade, Through the Eyes of a Loyal Spartan
(Crystal Proxmire, Jan. 1, 2014)
Dedicated Spartan fan and former Michigan State student John Taylor was able to go to Pasadena, California for the 100th Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day. There he watched his green-and-white-clad favorite team beat the Stanford Cardinals with a score of 24-20.
Taylor took plenty of pictures at the famous Rose Parade, and some inside the stadium as well. He was one of 95,173 fans in the packed stands.
This was Michigan State’s fourth Rose Bowl victory, with their next most recent being 1988.
