Fatal Crash in Rochester Hills Under Investigation

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal, single motor vehicle crash that occ on north bound Crooks Rd south of Hamlin Rd in the city of Rochester Hills.  The crash occurred at about 10:23 a.m. on 12-27-13

Mr. Eric Ladell Walker, a 61-year-old, Rochester Hills resident was operating a 2011 GMC Terrain on north bound Crooks Rd. south of Hamlin Rd.  The GMC ran off the roadway to the right then continued north bound off the roadway, striking a traffic sign and a light post.

Mr. Walker was found in the vehicle unresponsive.  Mr. Walker was transported to Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills with CPR in progress.  Mr. Walker was pronounced dead at 11:01 a.m.

Mr. Walker may have had a medical problem prior to the crash.

Alcohol was not a factor.

Seat belt use is still under investigation.

No other vehicles were involved in this crash.

This crash remains under investigation.
