Breaking and Entering

4703 Crooks (Subway), 12-18-13, 12:23am – 6:50am: Complainant reported he noticed the rear door of the business ajar when he was preparing to open the store for the day. Further investigation revealed an unknown suspect entered the store and stole an undisclosed amount of currency. There were no signs of forced entry. 13-38376

Larceny

1016 W. Eleven Mile (Y.M.C.A.), 12-13-13, 5:30pm – 7:30pm: Complainant reported he placed gallowaycollens1his iPhone in an unlocked locker in the men’s locker room. When he returned, he discovered an unknown suspect stole his iPhone. 13-37928

5100 block of Coolidge, 12-11-13, 11:48am: Complainant reported his daughter set his iPad down while she put her coat on. When she went to pick up the i-Pad she was unable to find it and realized it was stolen by an unknown suspect. 13-37910

4900 block of Crooks, 11-21-13 – 12-11-13, 12:00pm – 6:30pm: Complainant reported he ordered CD’s. When he realized the CD’s had not been delivered, he contacted the business where he made the purchase. He discovered the CD’s were delivered by Fed Ex and an unknown suspect stole the package from the hallway outside of his residence.

4900 block of Crooks, 12-1-13 – 12-16-13, 8:00am – 12:00pm: Complainant reported she ordered nicholas-schrock-allstatea dress. When she realized the dress had not been delivered, she contacted the business where she made the purchase. She discovered the dress was delivered by UPS and an unknown suspect stole the package from the apartment doorway. 13-38303

Larceny from an Automobile

25352 Woodward (L.A. Fitness), 12-17-13, 6:45pm – 8:00pm: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle in the parking lot of the business. When he returned to his vehicle he discovered an unknown suspect broke out the rear driver side window of his vehicle and stole a Dell laptop computer. 13-38351

3100 block of Trafford, 11-13-13 – 12-3-13, 7:00am – 12:00pm: Complainant reported an bridget and kevin deegan krause thank youunknown suspect stole an Extang Trifecta tonneau cover from his Nissan Titan pickup truck. The truck was parked in front of the residence.13-38302

100 block of Helene, 12-15-13 – 12-16-13, 12:00pm – 3:30pm: Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole the front wheel from his 2011 Chevy Cruze. The vehicle was parked in front of the residence. 13-38216

Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile

200 N. Main (Emagine Theater), 12-16-13, 7:00pm – 10:45pm: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle in the parking lot. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect attempted to steal his vehicle. The steering column was damaged during the attempt. 13-38253

Malicious Destruction of Property

30254 Woodward (AT&T Store), 12-13-13, 9:28pm: Complainant reported a customer was upset about her high cell phone bill and created a disturbance in the business. As she left the store she intentionally pushed over a display case damaging it. 13-37927ctechad

1326 E. Lincoln, 12-12-13 – 12-13-13, 8:30pm – 1:45pm: Complainant reported an unknown suspect broke out a window near the main entrance with a liquor bottle.

400 block of S. Lafayette, 12-13-13 – 12-16-13, 5:00pm – 10:00am: Complainant reported an unknown suspect wrote graffiti on the inside of a dumpster enclosure with a marker 13-38207

Other Incidents

4400 block of Beverly Court, 12-17-13, 11:46pm: A uniformed Beverly Hills police officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the area. He stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver. While speaking to the moderntaxdriver he noticed the ignition was damaged and the driver side rear vent window was broken. The driver was unable to produce any paperwork for the vehicle and his license was suspended.

A Royal Oak officer responded to the area and spoke to the owner of the vehicle. After interviewing the owner it was determined the vehicle was just stolen. The quick actions of the Beverly Hills officer, in conjunction with Royal Oak officers, resulted in the arrest of the suspected car thief.

The suspect, Davonta Brogdon, is a 21-year-old Detroit resident. He is charged with one (1) count of Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile and one (1) count of Driving While License Suspended.20131220davonta_brogdon_mug_shot

On December 19, 2013, Davonta Brogdon was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Derek Meinecke of the 44th District Court. Bond was set at $5,000.00. The Preliminary Exam is scheduled for December 27, 2013 at 9:00 am.
