Police Report Man Fired Gun at Pontiac Sheriff’s Dept. Substationdinos02sidelogo3

INCIDENT: 02:02 hrs. –  City of Pontiac, Shots Fired at Sheriff’s Sub- Station/CCW  # 13-192572 12/16/2013

 SUMMARY: An  Deputy was in the parking lot of the Pontiac Substation when he heard a gunshot come from a vehicle that was on NB on Woodward Ave. in front of the substation. The deputy then heard sidebar01sponsorsomeone inside the same vehicle yelling about the shooting and say “man, you just shot at the  f****** police station!”. The Deputy then effected a traffic stop on Huron at Union and the five occupants were detained. Two loaded pistols (.38 caliber revolvers) were recovered along with a large sum of cash and a small amount of marijuana. One of the guns had an empty shell indicating it had been fired. The gun used in the shooting was reported stolen from Mercer Island in the state of Washington.

OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Detectives responded to interview the suspects. Three of the occupants subjects were interviewed and released. One subject the front seat passenger was lodged in the Oakland County Jail on carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a stolen handgun. A second subject lodged at the Oakland County Jail on CCW charges pending arraignment.  The substation was inspected for damage in the daylight hours today and at this point no damage to the front of the building could be located.

Arrested: (S1) – 18 year old Pontiac resident – CCW/ R&C Stolen handgun/ unlawful discharge of firearm. (S2 ) – 19 year old resident of Pontiac- CCW
