Home Invasion
2600 block of Ferncliff, 11-30-13 – 12-2-13, 9:00pm – 12:30am: Complainant reported an unknown suspect attempted to break into the residence through the rear door. The door frame was damaged but the suspect did not gain entry to the home. 13-36625
1400 block of S. Main, 11-29-13, 1:40pm – 1:53pm: Complainant reported an unknown suspect entered his residence through his unlocked attached garage. The suspect stole an X-Box 360 game console, a video game and a brown messenger bag. The suspect also stole an iPod from his unlocked vehicle parked in the garage. 13-36393
Larceny
3500 block of Crooks, 11-29-13, 12:00pm – 12:20pm: Complainant reported she posted items for sale on “craigslist.” Two subjects responded to the ad and arrived at her residence to complete the transaction.
After receiving payment for the items she placed the money in her wallet and set it down on a table in the front room of the residence. She left the room for a few moments while the subjects moved the items to their car. When she returned to the room the subjects were gone. They took the property and stole her wallet. She described the suspects as 25-30 year-old black males. 13-36402
25352 Woodward (L.A. Fitness), 11-29-13, 8:15pm – 8:21pm: Complainant reported he hung his coat in the common area of the men’s locker room. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had stolen it. His coat contained his wallet, cell phone, keys and an undisclosed amount of currency. 13-36429
400 block of S. Minerva, 12-1-13 – 12-2-13, 9:30pm – 11:30am: Complainant reported an acquaintance stole his Canon XA-10 camera from his residence. 13-36750
26862 Woodward (Cohen, Learner & Robinovitz Law Offices) 12-3-13 – 12-04-13, 5:00pm – 8:00am: Complainant reported an unknown suspect entered the unlocked office and stole a Lenovo and a Dell laptop computer. 13-36921
1016 W. Eleven Mile (Y.M.C.A.), 12-3-13, 9:27pm: Complainant reported an unknown suspect removed the lock from his locker and stole his wallet. A member reported seeing a suspicious subject in the men’s locker room opening lockers and going through other members’ property. The suspect left the building before staff could locate him.
The suspect was described as a black male, 18-24 years-old, 5’11” and 190 lbs. He was wearing a black hoodie with the words “All Damn Day” in bright green script on the front and bright yellow Nike athletic shoes. 13-36870
Larceny from an Automobile
200 S. Center (Parking Structure), 11-30-13, 7:30am – 5:00pm: Complainant reported an unknown suspect attempted to steal a tire from her blue 2007 Chrysler 300. 13-36551
1100 block of S. Washington, 12-3-13, 2:30pm – 3:50pm: Complainant reported an unknown subject attempted to break into her vehicle causing damage to the passenger side door. A witness observed an unknown male throw a rock at the victim’s car, get into a red vehicle and flee the area west bound on Harrison. 13-36842
Malicious Destruction of Property
100 block of Allenhurst, 11-27-13 – 12-1-13, 8:00pm – 4:00pm: Complainant reported an unknown suspect dented the hood and roof of her vehicle by walking on it. 13-36650
400 block of S. Edison, 11-30-13 – 12-2-13, 8:00pm – 8:00am: Complainant reported an unknown suspect keyed the driver and passenger side of his vehicle. 13-36752
809 W. Eleven Mile (Douglas Eades, DDS Dental), 11-26-13 – 12-03-13, 6:00pm – 9:30am: Complainant reported an unknown suspect damaged the business sign affixed to the building. 13-36923
Woodward and Rockingham, 12-01-13, 8:46pm: A Royal Oak officer observed a vehicle speeding southbound on Woodward. The officer stopped the vehicle at Woodward and Rockingham and approached the driver. The driver did not have his driver’s license and was placed under arrest. While searching the suspect the officer located a small pistol in the suspect’s pocket. The suspect was charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and No Operators License on Person. 13-36669
