It is time to sign up for Troy Recreation’s Downhill Ski and Snowboard program! Our five week program begins the weekend of January 10. Have fun with your friends this winter. Art Camp – Winter Break
Spend your break at Art Camp creating a snowy adventure scene with acrylic paints!

Fitness RX Barre Plus Class for age 45 and Up
Using low weights/high reps, sculpt your abs, arms, thighs and glutes using weights, tubing, balls and a chair. Your results: increased muscular endurance, and tighter abs, glutes and arms. Bring 2-3 lb weights and a mat. Bands and balls supplied by instructor. This class is designed for ages 45+ or de-conditioned younger students. Weeks: 10 Drop in fee $10 per class ($11 Non-Res) NEW EVENING CLASSES!!!

Christmas at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House
Tuesday, December 10, 8:30 am – 6:30 pm. Activity#148924K – $70; NR $75. The Ford House on Lake Shore Drive will be decorated as it was in the 1930s. After touring the house, enjoy a chicken strudel lunch at the Hotel St. Regis followed by a driving tour of Belle Isle. The bus departs from the north entrance of the Troy Community Center. Winter Break Aqua Camp: Dec 23, 26, 27, 30, Jan 2 & 3

Looking for a special activity for the kids when school is not in session? These aqua camps are for ages 5-13 and includes games, gym time and swim time. Camp takes place from 9 am – 4 pm. There is a pizza party each Friday. Before and after care is available. Pre-registration is required for this camp. See page 40 of the Winter Troy Today for fees and more information. |
American Red Cross Winter Break Lifeguard Class
This class is for ages 15 and older interested in becoming a certified lifeguard. The class takes place on Dec 23, 26, 27, 28, 30 from 9 am – 4 pm at the Community Center. A mandatory deep water class at Troy Athen will take place on January 12 from 4 – 6 pm. Prerequisites: Swim 300 yards continuously, must be proficient at freestyle, sidestroke, and breaststroke. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive the American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certification. Positions may be available at the Troy Community Center and/or Troy Family Aquatic Center upon receipt of certification. Fee is $205/resident, and $215/non-resident. Chilly Savings at the Community Center
We are spreading holiday cheer with special day rates through the holiday season. Rates are just $4 for youth and $4 for adults between December 21-January 5. Price valid for both residents and non-residents.
New Year’s Eve Family Night Out: Tuesday, December 31 from 5 – 8:30 pm at the Community Center
Looking for something to do on New Year’s Eve as a family. Stop in and join our activities which include: basketball, swimming, the inflatable castle, and more. Family 4 pack is $20 for residents and $24 for non-residents. Additional family members are $5/resident and $6/non-resident. This event is FREE for Community Center annual/ongoing Pass holders. | ![]() |
