Holiday Magic Parade in Downtown Royal Oak Nov 24dda holiday hoof 2013 ad

Downtown Royal Oak invites families to the 12th Annual Holiday Magic Parade presented by Star Lanes Restaurant & Sports Bar at Emagine Royal Oak on Sunday, November 24th at 2pm. The parade starts at Lincoln and Washington and heads north on Washington to Fourth Street where it heads west and ends at Lafayette.

This Downtown Royal Oak parade will once again kick off the holiday season by showcasing over 80 parade units including marching bands, floats from the Parade Company, circus performers, dance troupes and more! Be sure to check out the new parade units this year including the Detroit Circus with acrobatic stilts, jugglers gallowaycollens1with rolling globes, and ribbon dancer on stilts, music from Nick Kuhl & the Gang, and HOOPER from the Detroit Pistons. The Fresh 100.3 morning show will serve as the parade’s Grand Marshal.

This year, new, unwrapped toys will be collected along the parade route or at the parade Main Stage again, and will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Oakland County’s Holiday Basket Program helping close to 1,000 people during the holiday season. Toys will also be collected before the parade at the Boys & Girls Club 1545 E. Lincoln, Royal Oak.

After the parade, there will be visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Emagine Theater from 3-5pm. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the fun!

New this year, Kids Eat Free!  Starting Sunday, November 24th – December 29th, kids 12 and under eat free at participating restaurants with the purchase of an adult meal. Visit rorainfo.com for details.
