Tickets are now available for a spectacular new holiday event is coming to downtown Ferndale! Guests at the Holiday Howl & Merry Meow will enjoy free appetizers, treats and drink samples, live cocktail music from the amazing Roland Remington, make-and-take ornaments and cookies, silly holiday photo ops, and a chance to bid on unique gift packages from local artists and boutiques. Pinwheel Bakery, Komodo Kitchen, McClary Bros. Drinking Vinegars, and Valentine Vodka are among the refreshment donors, so happy tastebuds are guaranteed! craig covey 2013 mayor adAll proceeds will benefit local animal rescue organizations, including Tigerlily Cat Rescue and NBS Animal Rescue.

In addition to ticket sales and silent auction proceeds, the animals will benefit from an on-site Giving Tree, which will be decorated with holiday wishes from local animals in need. In exchange for committing to grant a rescued pet’s wish, party guests will receive a unique, handmade ornament to keep.

The fundraising party takes place on Saturday, November 9th, inside the Rust Belt Market on the corner of 9 Mile and Woodward in Ferndale. The festivities officially begin at 6pm and last until 10pm, but party guests are encouraged to arrive early for holiday shopping with the local artists inside the market. Ticket-holders will receive free giftwrap for items purchased at the Rust Belt on November 9th, as well as any items they may win during the silent auction.sidebar011beesponsor

Tickets are limited, cost $15 per person and are available locally at Pet & Paw, at 23233 Woodward in Ferndale. Shoppers will also receive a 10% discount on Pet-n-Paw merchandise when they purchase a ticket! Tickets will also be available at the Pet-n-Paw booth during Fido Does Ferndale on Oct. 17, and during the Lucky Cat Fundraiser at Rosie O’Grady’s on Oct. 23rd. For those who prefer to shop online, tickets can be purchased from event sponsor Planet Pinup (www.planetpinup.etsy.com) along with a cute cat or dog ornament. If tickets are still available as of November 9th, they can be purchased at the door.
