Police Report: Two Girls Escaped Abductor’s Car in Pontiac, Suspect at Large

INCIDENT: 1915 hrs. – City of Pontiac- Attempted Juvenile Abduction # 13-153860
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to the 400 block of 4th street for an attempted abduction. Two females, ages 8 and 6, were reported to have been grabbed by an unknown male. The girls were playing on the sidewalk in front of the victim’s home. A grey colored 4 door car pulled into the driveway and the suspect grabbed one of the girls by her arm was pulled her into the vehicle and forced her behind the driver’s seat to the floor. He then grabbed the second victim and placed her in the rear seat she was able to open the rear door as the suspect entered the driver’s side. Both girls were able to escape and run home. The mother of one of the girls called 911. The suspect fled in his vehicle east on 4th St. Two other young girls down the street witnessed the end of the incident, heard one of the girls scream and confirmed the victims’ description of the suspect, his vehicle and the direction the vehicle fled.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Deputies searched the area for the suspect with negative results. Detectives notified and responded to the scene and interviewed the victims. The investigation continues while detectives continue canvass the area.
SUSPECT INFORMATION: Suspect was described as a light skinned B/M with shoulder length dreadlocks or braids. He was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans and a ring on his left hand. He “smelled of cigarettes” and there were empty “Newport” cigarette packs on the rear floor board. The victims stated there may have been some gray in the hair braids. He was driving, what was described as a silver in color four door mid-sized sedan.
