Pontiac Citywide Park Cleanups Oct. 5
(Kathalee James, Friends of the Pontiac Parks Association, Oct. 1, 2013)
We are partnering with the United Methodist Churches of Metro Detroit for their annual Hands 4 Detroit Day. We expect to see hundreds of volunteers in the city which is very exciting.
The biggest need is for volunteer coordinators to work on October 5, 2013, for each of the parks and the Clinton River Trails through Pontiac. If any of your readers live near a city park and would like to volunteer as the lead coordinator for the other volunteers, they can call me at 248-425-4663 or send us a post on our Facebook page @ Friends of the Pontiac Parks Association. Some of the parks are very small and will not need a full day commitment, which is 9:30 am until 3:00 pm.
We must have a coordinator for each park in order to get volunteers. We have 29 parks in the city.
Please take part in either coordinating or helping clean our city’s parks this weekend. Three cheers for the Friends of the Pontiac Parks! Learn more on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/FriendsOfThePontiacParksAssociation.
