Taste in Ferndale Seeks Sponsors
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Sept. 18, 2013)
The Ferndale Community Foundation is looking to fill six more spots for their big fundraiser Taste in Ferndale, which will be held October 23 at The Loving Touch. The event brings Ferndale restaurants together in one place so that attendees can sample food from each.
The cost of tickets to the event is $25, and the money raised helps The Ferndale Community Foundation continue their work of supporting other Ferndale organizations. There is no fee for the restaurants to take part, though they do need to supply the food and staff.
So far Howe’s Bayou, Treat Dreams, Rosie O’Grady’s, Pinwheel Bakery, Red Hook Coffee, Cupcake Station, Sahara, Apple Fritter, Michigo Pizza, Peteet’s Cheesecake, Woodward Ave. Brewers and the Emory have all signed up to take part.
Another fun part of the night is the silent auction. Individuals and businesses are invited to donate items for the auction.
Taste in Ferndale was previously called Taste of Ferndale, and traditionally had a Mardi Gras theme. Check out coverage of previous Taste events:
