Novi reminds residents about lawn watering times (video)

Want to turn on those sprinklers in the middle of a hot day?  “No, No, Novi,” says a video put out by The City of Novi.  The video kindly reminds residents that according to City Ordinance, irrigation systems can only be used between 11pm and 5am.  Residents and businesses that use sprinkler system outside of these times may be fined.

Nightime watering has several benefits.  For one, it is better for lawns, because more of the moisture stays on them. Also, water rates are lower at non-peak hours, which helps keep water costs down for the community.
