Woman Found with Taser Disguised as Cell Phone

UPDATE: Felicia Boles was convicted under Michigan Law 750.224a for having a “portable device or weapon directing electrical current…” She was sentenced on Oct. 1, 2013 to 1 year and six months. (updated Oct. 5, 2014)
On 08/25/13 at about 8:30 p.m. a Ferndale Officer stopped the driver of Chevy Blazer with an expired license plate. After being stopped, the driver, Felicia Dawn Bowles, lied about her identity. The officer arrested her for giving the false information. He then found a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle. The officer retrieved a Taser from the woman’s purse. The weapon was disguised as a pink colored cell phone. The officer also determined that Boles’ driver license was suspended. She was arrested.
Boles has a criminal history that includes convictions for drug possession and Felony Firearm.
She was arraigned by Magistrate Brennan who set bond at $50,000 cash/surety/10%.
BOLES faces charges of:
1. Possession of a Taser – 4 year felony
2. Driving While License Suspended 2nd Offense – 1 yr. misdemeanor
3. False ID to a Police Officer – 90 day misdemeanor.
