University High School Enrollment Info Nights Coming Up

University High School Invites Future Students to Info Night– Tuesday, July 30 from 6:30-8 p.m. at University High in Ferndale, 1244 Paxton
Ferndale Public Schools – Ferndale’s University High School is hosting an Information Session for potential students and their families to learn more about the unique opportunities at this rigorous, college prep public high school on Tuesday, July 30 beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m. in the school Media Center located at 1244 Paxton in Ferndale (just west of Hilton, east of Woodward and south of 9 Mile). Students who will be entering 9th and 10th grades from across the metro area are welcome to attend with their families and meet the teachers to learn more about this unique college-preparatory high school opportunity.
Future sessions include: Wednesday, Aug. 14, Thursday, Aug, 22 and Tuesday, August 27.
All sessions are held at 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Meet the Principals Night: Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 7-8 p.m.
Ferndale’s University High School offers students in southeast Michigan the choice to attend a high performing school with a proven track record and almost ten years of educational success. According to the National Student Clearinghouse, 85% of UHS alumni are currently enrolled in, or have graduated from, a college or university:

At UHS, college admission and success are primary goals of every teacher and student. Two special staff members help every student with college applications, scholarships and financial aid, and once UHS graduates begin college; the UHS College Success Advisor guides them through their transition to university life and success in their studies. University High School is a public high school operated by the Ferndale Public Schools with a mission to ensure all students graduate not only from high school, but from college, as well. UHS was founded in 2005 in a partnership with Lawrence Technological University that provides on-campus and dual enrollment opportunities for UHS students. Five classes of UHS graduates have entered college with an average 99% graduation rate, 100% of students have been accepted to colleges and post-secondary programs, and more than 85% are attending college. UHS graduates report that they have been exceptionally well prepared for their college studies thanks to the excellent teachers and programs. UHS received a national award in 2010 from the National School Boards Association Journal for innovation and success in preparing students for the rigors of college.
University High School is seeking next fall’s 9th and 10th graders to enroll now for Fall 2013. Enrollment is open to anyone in the metro area through Schools of Choice.
