School Buses for Sale

Know anyone that needs a school bus? The Ferndale School District has two for sale.
Sealed bids are being accepted now through July 31st on two buses formerly used to transport students. The buses up for sale are:
Bus #97-14 is a 1997 Ford Blue Bird 78 passenger with approximately 123,500 miles. This bus has a 5.9 Cummings diesel motor, Allison 545 automatic Transmission, bendix air brake system with dryer.
Bus #98-22 is a 1998 International Blue Bird 72 passenger with approximately 143,500 miles. This bus has a 466E international diesel motor, same transmission and same brakes as above vehicle.
The district is now accepting sealed bids on these two vehicles.

These bids will be opened publicly on Wednesday July 31st at 2:00p.m. in the media center at the Harding Administration Building located at 2920 Burdette, Ferndale, MI 48220.
The school board recently approved the purchase of two new buses, which Transportation Supervisor Dee Petri says are more fuel efficient and have higher-backed seats for “better compartmentalization.” The new buses come at a cost of $164,378 which will be repaid on a payment plan, according to the annual budget report.
