Acura Takes a Turn for the Worse in Construction Zone

The driver of a 2009 Acura RL took a turn for the worse Monday afternoon when she went past orange construction barrels and ended up over the edge of the concrete on West 9 Mile near Spaulding and Curtin Funeral home.
The car bottomed out on the edge of the concrete and the front end got stuck an area of dirt about half a foot below. The section of the road has been removed as part of the West 9 Mile construction project, where a water main has already been replaced.
Observant Ferndale 115 News reader Ben Wojdyla was driving past at about 4:30pm, and snapped a picture of the scene. Police and a wrecker were on their way. The driver, a woman who appeared in her 40s, seemed calm an unharmed, Wojdyla said.
