Readers Share July 4th Fireworks Memories

A time honored tradition continued July 4th as people throughout the country enjoyed fireworks in celebration of Independence Day.  Several SE Michigan cities hosted large professional shows, while others took advantage of Michigan’s recently change fireworks laws to set off the colorful explosives in their own neighborhoods.

Readers shared photos from several cities, including the large shows in Huntington Woods and Clawson and several backyard varieties.  Lily and Charlotte Krantz avoided mosquitoes by watching from inside their front door as neighbors set off fireworks in Macomb, while Sheri and the Kennedy kids found a spot in the grass to watch the big show in Huntington Woods.  Several other readers shared pictures too!
