A summertime tradition in Ferndale is the giving of Beautification Awards to homes and businesses that been improved. June’s awards were given at the Ferndale City Council Meeting on June 24. Winners are Adam and Carrie Riemerof 395 W. Cambourne, Mark and Emilie Macklenborg of 281 College. The business winner is Autometric Collision of Ferndale at 23222 Woodward.
While the construction takes place, police business will be split between City Hall and the Hazel Park Police Station, which is where detainees will be held. City Hall will also be the temporary home of the court, with cases being held in Council Chambers. Some court staff will also be located in a separate office building up the street.
