Police Report: Man Arrested After Fleeing Rollover Accident
(Lt. William Wilson, Ferndale Police, June 14, 2013)
Yesterday, June 13, 2013 at about 3:15 p.m. Ferndale Police responded to a report of a rollover accident on residential streets. The driver of the striking pick-up truck ran from the scene on foot. The pick-up hit an Olds Alero which it forced off of the street into the front yard of a residence. The pick-up rolled onto its side and landed in the same front yard at the corner of Emwill / Beaufield. The woman driving the Olds was injured.
According to witness reports, the pick-up was speeding e.b. on Emwill and ran through the stop sign at Beaufield where the Olds was crossing southbound through the intersection.
Officers responded and caught the driver, EVERETT CORDELL ADAMS, after he tried to escape by running several blocks through yards and over fences.
The 19 year old woman (Ferndale resident) was taken by Ferndale Ambulance to the hospital.
The incident is going to be turned over for review by the prosecutor’s office for review. Arraignment will likely occur this afternoon.
