Ferndale Schools Holding Four More Strategic Planning Meetingsctechad

The Ferndale Schools Strategic Plan Steering Committee is inviting all community members to participate in the following important “town hall” meetings to help define the future of Ferndale Schools.

Participants will have a chance to share their opinions, views, ideas and give feedback for the new Ferndale Schools Strategic Plan.

Thursday, May 9 6:30-9 p.m. “What Did They Hear?”  Coolidge Intermediate School

Tuesday, May 28 6:30-9 p.m. “Education of the Future” University High School

Thursday, June 6 6:30-9 p.m. “The District of the Future” Ferndale High School

Wednesday, June 19 6:30-9 p.m. “Overcoming the Enrollment Challenge” John F. Kennedy School.

baby01Information gathered at the meetings will be used to help the District come up with a Strategic Plan.

The Strategic Planning Committee is made up of five members, plus consultants from Project Innovations.  On the Committee are Ferndale Schools Superintendent Gary Meier, Deputy Superintendent Henry Gold, Communications Director Stephanie Hall, and school board members Karen Twomey and Kevin Deegan-Krause.

Several meetings have already taken place, as well as over 35 one-on-one meetings by the gallowaycollensconsultants to help figure out what members of the community want from their school district.
