Police Report: Gun Threat at Motorama
(Lt. William Wilson, Ferndale Police, Jan. 30, 3013)
On 01/28/13 at about 4:15 a.m. Ferndale Police responded to the Motorama Motel at 100 W. 8 Mile road and met with a 47 year old man who was staying at the motel. The man said he was just threatened by another man.
According to the victim, he was going to his room when ARNOLD PARKER (b/m, 69 yrs), came out of his room. PARKER was clad in a towel wrapped around his waist and holding a handgun. ARNOLD reportedly pointed his gun at the victim, yelled for him to get away from his car, and called him names. The victim retreated and phoned police.
Officers responded to the motel and called Parker on the phone. Parker willingly went out of his room to meet with officers. He was arrested without incident. Officers recovered a .44 magnum semi-auto pistol believed to be the weapon Parker held when he confronted the victim. Officers also recovered a Remington Model 700 rifle from the hotel room.
Parker was arraigned yesterday by Magistrate Brennan who set a $1500 personal bond.
