Help the Ferndale 115 With Year-End Expenses
(Crystal Proxmire, Dec. 29, 2012)
The Ferndale 115 News has reached some important milestones this year. In July it was exciting to break the 10,000 unique reader mark for that month, and thanks to a story going viral we’ve had over 25,800 unique readers visit our page so far for December. This means that not only are we serving our readers here in Ferndale, we are sharing the strengths of our community with people beyond our borders.
We’ve brought you stories that “inform, inspire and unite,” and we’ve done so on a much lower budget than our big corporate competitors.
But in order for this to work, The Ferndale 115 Needs on-going support. The end of the year is particularly challenging because we need to pay for taxes, website hosting, business registration fees, domain name renewals etc. We are also facing legal and FOIA expenses as we’re working hard on investigative reporting that affects our community.
Our goal has always been to create a community news hub that is not tied to big corporate political goals or dependent on any single advertiser. The answer is independent, community-funded news, with small-priced ads so multiple individuals (readers) can give their support.
That’s why we are asking for any reader who is able, to please purchase a $15 Thank You ad. These ads are custom-designed with your name on them, and they are featured in an article, on our Thank You page, and on our Facebook page.
You can purchase as many Thank You ads as you would like!
We also have great advertising sponsorship packages for businesses. One year is $500. Six months is $300. And two months is $115. To sign up go to https://oaklandcounty115.com/become-a-sponsor/.
If you prefer to pay by check, please mail to Ferndale 115 News, PO Box 20293, Ferndale, MI 48220. For questions contact Editor & Publisher Crystal A. Proxmire at editor@ferndale115.com.
