Historic Homes and Buildings Tour – Saturday, December 8

A tour of historic Ferndale homes and buildings, decked out in their holiday finest decorations, is set for Saturday, December 8th beginning at 3pm at the Ferndale Historical Museum. The event is a joint effort by the Ferndale Community Foundation and the Ferndale Historical Society. The tour runs through 7 pm and is presented by Lori Davis, a realtor with RE/MAX Vision.
The event is sponsored by Lori Davis-Realtor RE/MAX Vision, Chess Roofing and Siding, Arval & Associates, P.C. & Mutual Fund Management Co., Kurt’s Kustom Promotions, The Bar Downstairs, City Councilman Dan Martin, and Greg Pawlica. Tickets to attend the tour are $15 and the proceeds benefit the Ferndale Community Foundation and the Ferndale Historical Society.
“This will be a lot of fun,” said Jeannie Davis, Foundation Board member and President of the Ferndale Seniors. “We haven’t had a tour like this in ages, and Ferndale certainly has some grand and historical homes that will look great in their finest holiday décor,” she added.
The tour is self-guided tour, and attendees are able to start at their leisure, visiting as many of the locations as they desire. Docents will be stationed at each stop to share information about the location. Tickets can be purchased through any number of board members of the groups involved or by calling 248-541-5888 and may also be purchased the day of the event at the museum.
“We hope that this event could become a new annual tradition in Ferndale,” said Garry Andrews, President of the Ferndale Historical Society.
