CFF School Board Candidate Forum Recorded by Keith Dalton

(C. Proxmire, Nov. 2, 2012)

On October 28, 2012, Citizens for Fair Ferndale hosted a candidate forum for the eight people running for the Ferndale School Board.  The event, which took place at the Ferndale Public Library, was recorded by local videographer Keith Dalton of the Dalton Group.

Voters in the Ferndale School District will have the opportunity on Nov. 6 to vote for up to four representatives to the School Board.  There are four open seats on the board, and eight candidates running.

The candidates have formed “slates.”  This means that candidates have teamed up to run based on their similar viewpoints.

Citizens for Better Education is endorsing three incumbents and one political newcomer. Current School Board President Keith Warnick, Board Treasurer Jim Pfleger, and Board Secretary Katrina Collins are seeking re-election.  Brad Parks is also running on this slate.

Members of CLEAR are seeking a change in leadership. Running together as “BOLD,” each candidate’s name represents an initial of the acronym.  Amy “B”utters, Jim “O”Donnell, Raylon “L”eaks-May, and Kevin “D”eegan-Krause are running on this slate.

modern taxVoters are not obligated to vote in a block.  Each candidate has filled out a questionnaire for The Ferndale 115 News.  This and other election information can be found on our Voter Information page at http://oaklandcounty115.com/category/voter_info/.
