One Arrested, Two Sought for Burglary
(Lt. William Wilson, Ferndale Police Department, Aug. 14, 2012)
Ferndale police arrested a man for burglary of a residential garage and are looking for two more suspects for the crime.
On 08/13/12 at about 8:00 p.m., officers investigated the breaking into a residential garage that occurred at about 10:30 in the morning.
Officers met with a resident from the 400 block of E. Cambourne. He reported that several items were stolen from his garage (including snow blower, air compressor, chain saw).
The resident was away from his home during the day, and when he returned his neighbor told him that people had been in his garage removing items. The neighbor said two men and a woman were in the garage at about 10:30 a.m.. He asked them what they were doing. The woman knew the name one of the residents and said she had permission to remove tools to fix a flat tire. The curious neighbor was temporarily satisfied with the explanation and did not phone the police. However, when the three suspicious people kept removing more items from the garage, the man photographed and videotaped the suspicious activity. He also recorded the license plate of the pick-up truck the suspects drove.
When police arrived, they used the information to identify the individuals. They went to a Ferndale house where the truck registered to Brian FAUST. Faust was there and officers arrested him. The accomplices were not there.
All three suspects have criminal records. Warrants have been issued for the arrest of all three suspects for Breaking and Entering (10 year felony).
Faust will be arraigned tomorrow.
Buchholz and Allor should surrender to Ferndale Police. Anybody with information as to their whereabouts is asked to phone Ferndale Police at 248-541-3650.
