The Arts Millage Passed in all three counties. In Oakland County it passed by 63.68%.
The SMART Bus millage got renewed with 79.24% voting in its favor.
Hazel Parks Schools voters passed two millages, each with about 57% of the vote.
And Helaine Zack has won the Democratic primary for County Commission. She will face Republican Steve Zimberg on November 6. Craig Covey, who lost by about 562 votes, said on Facebook “I congratulated Helanie Zack on her victory, and I endorse her for the November election. The bad guys here are the state and county republicans, who engineered this primary battle. Shame on County Clerk Bill Bullard, and L. Brooks Patterson, who forced the powergrab redistricting on us. We will remember in November.”
Several other races were un-contested, or barely contested, for the primary, but will pit Republicans vs. Democrats in the November race. Ferndale also has School Board elections to look forward to.
