(C. Proxmire, Ferndale 115, Aug. 6, 2012)
Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 is an election day, and voters in Ferndale have several races and ballot proposals to cast their ballots on.
This is the first time that voters will go to their new precincts. To read more about the decision to reduce the number of precincts and to view a map go to https://oaklandcounty115.com/2011/12/12/fewer-polling-places-to-save-the-city-money/.
The Aug. 7 primary will have two columns – Republican and Democrat. Voters can only select candidates in one row or the other for the primary.
There are also ballot proposals. There is an Arts Millage that you can read more about here and here. And there is a question to renew SMART Bus Service, which you can read about here.
Voters in the Hazel Park School District have two bond proposals, you can read about those here.
