Two Women Arrested After Chase with Stolen Car and Running From Police

On 05/02/12 at about 2:50 a.m. a Ferndale Officer observed what turned out to be a stolen Infinity for driving w.b. on 8 Mile without any lights.
The car pulled over, then the driver fled at high speeds through Ferndale neighborhoods. The driver fled the wrong way / one way on Livernois, sped through residential streets, drove through a residential yard, and drove into the park. After a three minute high speed chase, the two female occupants bailed out of the car in Geary Park and began to run on foot. They were caught and arrested.
Investigation showed the car was stolen in Warren on April 30th. Erica ALLEN was arrested as the driver of the car and Briana Jones was the passenger.
Neither arrested woman has a prior criminal history.
Photos are attached. In two of the pictures, you can see the stolen car driving off the roadway into a yard on the left hand side of the picture.
The matter is being turned over to the prosecutor’s officer for review. The women may be arraigned this afternoon.

PASSENGER: Briana Shanel JONES, b/f 19, Harper Woods resident
