Dates Set for Budget Discussions

Creating a balanced budget for the year is an essential responsibility of City Council.  Each year they meet in a series of special sessions to go over the specifics of the budget, which includes revenues and expenditures from each department.  The meetings are public, but they are not recorded or broadcast.

Meetings are scheduled for the following dates and times:

5:30-7:30pm          April 9, 2012 (before regular meeting)

5:30-9:30pm          April 16, 2012

5:30-9:30pm          April 30, 2012

City Manager April McGrath wrote that on April 16 Council may decide to add on another meeting date.  Formal agendas will be posted online in the coming weeks. The City’s Website, the official source for public meeting information, is http://www.ferndale-mi.com/.
