School Bond Debated at CFF Forum

(Crystal A. Proxmire, The Ferndale 115 News, Feb. 15, 2012ed)

Citizens for Fair Ferndale held a public forum on the upcoming school bond issue.  On Feb. 28, 2012 voters in the Ferndale School District will be asked to approve a $22,825,000 bond for the district.  The CFF forum was recorded and put onto You Tube by Keith Dalton of TDG – The Dalton Group.  CFF is known for their unbiased hosting of political forums and their strong tradition of making sure issues are discussed in the community in a fair manner.  Dalton regularly assists with the filming of community events, such as this. The Ferndale Public Library provided the setting and opened on a Sunday in order to host.  Kelly Farrah of CFF was the host and Aaron Retish of Huntington Woods moderated the forum.

For the Feb. 12, 2012 forum on the school bond, Citizens for Quality Education Treasurer Bob Bokram discussed why he thinks people should vote for the school bond.  Resident and occasional political candidate Tom Gagne spoke against the bond.
