I heard a lot of great music that night, and it amazed me how good they were. I saw them again and then I picked up on other local music that I liked. I thought, hey, I like these songs a lot better than any national band. So I found a way to make it fit with library stuff.”

For the first two weeks in January they host over 100 homeless guests a night, keeping them safe from winter weather, as part of South Oakland Warming Shelter.

Michigan’s lawmakers have amended the State’s Election Law to require a statewide presidential primary election on February 28, 2012. The law calls for separate ballots to be printed for Republican candidates and for Democratic candidates, just as was done in January 2008.
