The officer observed a black male wearing dark clothes and a hat (later identified as Robert Terrell Reeves) trying to climb down from the roof. He ordered Reeves to stop; however, he ran toward the front of the building and jumped off of the roof on the south side of the building and fled south on Livernois. Other officer saw him run from the building and caught him on the 300 block of Livernois.
Officers then climbed the room and found an aluminum expandable ladder, a large black duffel bag, an LED head lamp and a yellow pry bar. Broken open in the roof was an approximate two foot by four foot opening cut which would have allowed access to the business below.
The case is being submitted to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s office for warrant requests.
