“Hosting this fair is a way to honor and support our veterans for their service to our country.” This information provided will assist veterans with reintegrating back into the community by informing them of available services. We also thank veterans for their service,” stated Nanette Colling, who is the Veterans Justice Outreach Coordinator for the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center.
The Oakland County Board of Commissioners lent support to veterans and encouraged county residents to do the same, when they recently signed and presented a Veterans Day proclamation on November 2, 2011. The proclamation encourages observance of the holiday and calls on residents to support veterans’ programs, special recognitions and events, including the November 12th Veterans Fair in Oakland County.
