Friends of the Ferndale Library to Host 80s-Themed
Adult Prom Fundraiser on Saturday, October 15
(Friends of the Ferndale Library Press Release, Sept. 22, 2011)
Was high school prom a blast or a bust for you? Either way you’ll enjoy what the Friends of The Ferndale Library have in store for “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” their 80s themed adult prom fundraiser, which will benefit the Teen Programming and Collections at the Library.
From signature cocktails like Depeche Mojitos and Pac Man Punch to great prizes from local retailers, you might just find what you’re looking for this time. Early birds will get a chance to win prizes that will make Prom Night even more spectacular.
Preordering tickets from http://www.ferndalefriends.org/ will make you eligible to win a hairdo from Flip salon, a makeover for the night from Rouge and other great giveaways.
The prom will be a night to remember with music, dancing, contests and prizes, not to mention meeting great people and supporting a good cause. To encourage 80s prom attire, local vintage stores like Mother Fletchers will be featuring great outfits in their shop windows.
